Founder and International Tax Adviser
I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and have lived in the United States intermittently since 1996. I am an Argentine and Spanish national by birth and an American by choice. I attended business school at the Catholic University of Argentina, from which I graduated in 1994 with a five-year degree in Public Accounting (Contador Publico Nacional). In 1997/1998, I attended the University of Georgia, where I received an MBA in corporate finance and international business, and in 2013, I obtained my Certificate in Financial Planning from Temple University in Philadelphia. I am an enrolled agent (EA) and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®).
After moving to London with my husband and young children in 2002, I became aware of the unique tax and financial burdens faced by Americans living abroad. To help U.S. expat families work through these challenges I later founded MHTax, to provide tax preparation and representation services.
Outside of work I actively support educational initiatives for under-privileged children in both the U.S. and South America. These include CEV, a Bolivian school run by A Breeze of Hope Foundation, a Philadelphia charity, and needs-based scholarships at the Universities of Tennessee and Georgia. I also enjoy teaching International Tax to Enrolled Agents, CPAs, CFPs, and other professionals through Tax Practice Pro.
I currently live in the greater Philadelphia area with my wonderful husband and three sons, and our faithful dog Luna. I travel regularly throughout the USA and Switzerland to meet with clients and to speak at conferences where I connect with professionals in the cross-border tax and financial services fields.
