In May and June of 2019, MHTax hosted its first-ever internship program! The two participants, Andy Hodge from the University of Michigan and Léa Boidin from the IESEG School of Management, spent 6 weeks working with Marina and Jeff in Lausanne and Zürich. The program was highly successful, leading to exciting new developments and improvements in both client services and outreach.
Our interns got exposure to the world of financial planning and tax consulting. They helped updating documents and templates used in the process of helping clients with their finances, such as a Net Worth and Cash Flow visualizer. They also upgraded and updated the MHTax website, allowing our clients to access our services easily.
The interns also met several clients and enjoyed learning more about special cases in finance as well as improving their client service skills. They helped designing business cards and modified various key Word documents as well as PowerPoint presentations in order to facilitate the client on-boarding process.
We at MHTax look forward to working with more students interested in the world of cross-border tax planning in the future, and we wish Andy and Léa the best in their future endeavors!
